Jordan support
The UAE signed an agreement yesterday with the Jordanian government to extend a Dh3-billion economic aid package. This is part of the aid package agreed upon at the Makkah Summit in June 2018, where the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait agreed to support Jordan with a cash injection of $2.5 billion.
“The UAE would seek to stimulate the economic and financial landscape in Jordan and contribute to supporting the country’s development plans. More specifically, it will facilitate the Jordanian government in implementing its priority infrastructure projects in key sectors,” said Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs.
