Woman drowns her 3 children, attempts suicide

tribal woman in Telangana threw her three children into a canal and tried to end her own life by jumping into the canal.

While some passers-by saved the woman, the three children drowned in the canal, police said.

The incident occurred in the Haliya village of Nalgonda district yesterday.

According to police, Angothu Swathi took her three children to the left bank of the Nagarjunsagar, near her village, and tossed them into the water before jumping in.
