Ex-judge commits suicide, wife follows suit in Andhra
The two jumped before moving trains a few hours apart
Aretired judge suffering from ill health and his wife have committed suicide in the temple town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.
The former judge, 63-yearold Pamuru Sudhakar, jumped in front of a moving train between Tirupati and Renigunta on Friday.
On hearing about his death, his wife committed suicide in the same manner and at the same place a few hours later.
According to Railway police inspector Aseehrwadam, Sudhakar, who retired as Mahbubnagar district judge in 2014, had been suffering from various ailments for some time.
On Friday he left his house early in the morning and his body was found on the track at around 11am. As police were completing formalities to hand over the body to the family, his wife 56-year-old Varalakshmi also committed suicide by jumping before another train in the evening.
