Karachi’s illegal marriage halls demolished

The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) yesterday demolished three illegal marriage halls constructed on government land in North Nazimabad.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of KDA director-general Sami-uddin Siddiqi, who directed the area’s police officers to initiate action against any encroachment on state land in the city.

Siddiqi also ordered the officers to launch a crackdown targeting the land mafia and to bring them to account.
