Largest vertical farm coming up in Dubai

Emirates Flight Catering will build the world’s largest vertical farm in Dubai South’s Aviation District with an investment of Dh146.8 million.

The facility will cover 130,000 square feet and construction is scheduled to start in November 2018.

Construction will take about a year to complete, with the farm’s first products set to be delivered to Emirates customers in December 2019. Emirates Catering and Dubai South have signed a memorandum of collaboration. (Staff Report)
