The world must invest $2.4 trillion in clean energy every year through 2035 and cut the use of coalfired power to almost nothing by 2050. Greenhouse pollution must be reduced by 45 per cent from 2010 levels by 2030, and 100 per cent by 2050. Renewable energy which makes up about 20 per cent of the electricity mix today, would have to increase to 67 per cent.
