US envoy visits India-Bangladesh border in Tripura

United States Ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster, yesterday visited the IndiaBangladesh border in Tripura as part of his maiden visit to the northeast.

The US Ambassador, during his brief interaction with the media, said Tripura had a huge potential in the tourism sector but he suggested development of infrastructure. “I am charmed after witnessing and learning [about] the culture and heritage of Tripura,” the envoy said. Juster, along with other US officials, reached here on Wednesday on a two-day tour. (IANS)
