Dubai Duty Free wins Airport Retailer of the Year award

DDF wins the award back to back for the second time

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) was named ‘Airport Retailer of the Year — Single Location’ for a record ninth time at the recently concluded Frontier Awards held on October 3 at the Congress Mandelieu Expo Centre in Cannes, France.

Held to coincide with the annual Tax Free World Association (TFWA) exhibition, the Frontier Awards, often referred to as “the Oscars of travel retail industry”, acknowledged best practices, reward innovation and celebrate excellence across the global travel retail channel.

“We are delighted to receive our ninth Frontier Airport Retailer of the Year Award. This is the second time that we have won this award back to back and to win it for a record ninth time takes lot of hard work and commitment,” said DDF executive vice-chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin.

“This award will always be treasured and I would like to thank the organisers and judges for their support. I join our chairman Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum in dedicating this Frontier award to each and every member of our staff.”

Frontier’s distinguished panel of judges, which comprised six top executives from the industry who collectively boast experience across a wide geographical area, chose from a large number of entries from all over the world.

DDF beat stiff competition to emerge the winner from eight other leading travel retailers.
