Investars is a fun, interactive way for high school students to learn investing
Investars is an investment game built for students aged 16-18, giving them an opportunity to try their hand at investing and get a real life view of the stock market.
Zurich Middle East has partnered with GEMS Wellington International School in Dubai to run Investars for business students as an after school programme.
Tasked with investing $100,000 in virtual money and compiling their own investment ■ portfolio, the Investars must identify their attitude to risk and do their research. Then they select between 4-12 funds predetermined by Zurich. Over seven weeks, these gamers monitor their portfolio and have the opportunity to rebalance during the midpoint of the game.
