Power snag brings metro line to a halt

- HYDERABAD

In

a first-of-its-kind incident since its launch, Hyderabad Metro trains came to a grinding halt due to a technical fault and services remained suspended for more than two hours on the MiyapurAmeerpet route yesterday.

The incident occurred when the power supply was disrupted due to a snag in the overhead line at Balanagar, bringing a train to a sudden halt.

For regular travellers on the 10-month-old Hyderabad Metro, it was an unusual experience and the first time a technical issue caused such a disruption. (Staff Report)
