Royal stand against corruption

Jordan’s King Abdullah reviews the honour guard during the opening ceremony of the third session of the 18th Parliament in Amman yesterday. King Abdullah vowed authoritie­s would crack down on corruption, following mass protests against graft and price rises earlier this year. “All Jordanians have an equal right to justice, and corruption will not be left unaddresse­d to become a chronic social illness,” the king said.
