Kerala CM arrives on 4-day UAE visit today

The Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is arriving in the capital today on a four-day visit to the UAE to seek the partnershi­p of the Indian community in the reconstruc­tion of flood-hit Kerala.

Vijayan is scheduled to attend a series of events titled “Together with Kerala”.

He will address businessme­n in the capital at a dinner organised by the Indian Business and Profession­al Group (IBPG).

“More than 200 prominent businessme­n, including Indians and other nationals, will attend the event,” Dr B.R Shetty, chairman of the IBPG, told Gulf News.

The chief minister will present investment opportunit­ies for businesses in the reconstruc­tion process.

Tomorrow evening, the chief minister will address a public meeting at the Indian Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) in the capital, Indian community leaders told a press conference at the ISC yesterday.

Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, will inaugurate the chief minister’s public event at the ISC, said Ramesh Panicker, honorary president of the ISC.
