Adnoc Distribution will roll out its flex service in the northern emirates from Sunday, according to a statement from the company.

The company has already introduced the flex services in Abu Dhabi from June 30.

Customers in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman can now choose self-service free of charge or use the premium service for Dh10 when they refuel their cars.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Adnoc Distribution’s Acting CEO, said: “This is about offering our customers choice at the pump, as well as in our retail outlets. Crucial to this proposition is the investment we have made in technology which will benefit the customer by driving efficiency.”

In tandem with the flex introduction, Adnoc will also give away 100,000 smart tags to customers in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman.

Aimed at simplifying both the self and premium service options, the smart tag technology provides a world-class payment option that enables customers to quickly refuel and pay without using cash or bank cards. The technology automatically triggers payment from the customer’s prepaid Adnoc wallet. The wallet can also be connected to other payment options including the Emirates ID card or Adnoc Plus card.

For a fee of Dh10, an attendant will refuel your car, wash your windshield and check your tyres. In addition, premium customers will also receive rewards that can be redeemed in Oasis convenience stores on beverages and lubricants.

The premium service is free for the elderly and people of determination.
