‘Initiatives on for women’s empowerment’

President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) women wing of the district chapter, Munira said yesterday the Gilgit Baltistan government was committed to taking tangible measures for the socioeconomic development of womenfolk.

As part of such efforts, the PML-N member said the government had initiated projects to benefit underprivileged areas of the country including Gilgit Baltistan. Efforts were being made to protect women’s rights. The chief minister was taking interest in women’s progress in the education, health and social sectors, she added.
