Escapee arrested again after 11 years

The police have claimed arresting an accused man who escaped from police custody about 11 years ago.

A police spokesman said yesterday that Aslam of Chak No 38-JB had killed a woman over a minor dispute in 2007 and was arrested by the police.

At a Faisalabad court, where he was taken for the case hearing, he escaped from police custody. The Civil Line police had then registered another case against him. After 11 years, the police conducted a raid in Lahore and caught the man again.
