Labourer killed, body torched

A labourer was killed while sleeping inside his home yesterday, officials said, and his body was later torched.

Police said 30-year-old Mohammad Ashraf Muslim Shaikh was sleeping at his house in Bongha Minhaas village, when he was allegedly murdered.

According to police, Shaikh’s wife and children were also present inside the house at the time of the incident. Officers questioned the family members.

Police collected evidence and the investigation is under way.
