Salesman jailed for kidnapping, raping teacher

salesman, who drove a teacher to the desert where he raped her under threat and coercion, was jailed for six months.

The Belarussian teacher, 32, accompanied the Pakistani salesman, 29, to a nightclub where they consumed liquor and danced together, in February.

At the end of the evening, he took her to a secluded area, threatened to kill her and insisted on having sex with her. When she refused again, he punched and then raped her. The Pakistani defendant has appealed his punishment. (Staff Report)
