Ban on hunting, live catching of cranes relaxed

The Khyber Pakhtunkhw­a government has relaxed its ban on hunting and live catching of cranes in the province for the fall season 2018 — from October 18 to November 15, 2018.

Crane hunting camps will be allowed to catch a maximum of twenty cranes during the season. The number of cranes in a camp shall not exceed ten pairs. The fee for possession of cranes will be Rs300 (Dh8.24) per bird per annum and the fee for establishi­ng crane camps in the season will be Rs3,000 per camp. (APP)
