Imran urged to allow import of used tractors
Punjab Minister for Agriculture Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial yesterday said the provincial government had requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to allow the import of second-hand tractors to help farmers.
The minister was addressing a gathering of farmers at the Punjab Seed Corporation’s Peerowal farms, where he distributed wheat seed among growers.
He said the government had approved a subsidy to farmers of Rs5,000 (Dh137) per acre (0.4 hectares) on sunflowers this year, and other oil seed crops would be covered next year.
