Exercise fanatics Michael and Vivviane Addo, aka Mr and Mrs Muscle make for a great pair. The boot camps held by the husband and wife duo at the Dubai Fitness Challenge are a rage because of their synchronised workouts.

However, not many people know that the couple were on the verge of breaking up and it was a chance video of them working out together which saved their marriage.

“We have known each other since we were kids. We came to Dubai for a holiday in 2016 and liked the city so much that we decided to settle here.

“I set up a fitness consultancy service and things were good but somewhere down the line our relationship hit a rough patch and we decided to part ways,” said Michael.

Vivviane, 29, recalled how she had even booked a ticket to the UK. “I was all set to fly back but the evening before my flight Michael got a voice note on his phone saying his younger brother had met with a bike accident. When Michael heard that message he broke down. I didn’t want to leave him in that state so I decided to stay back for a bit longer. The following day, we went to work out in a park where Michael recorded a video of us. When we saw the video later we realised we were in such perfect sync it looked like we were just made for each other,” said Michael.

Since then we have been recording minute-long workout videos focusing on different body parts. “We’ve used fitness to strengthen our bond. It could do the same for others too,” he added.
