Ahomeless family that was sleeping on the streets of Lahore, Pakistan, has received a new lease of life thanks to the efforts of a well-wisher.

Pictures of the father huddled together with his children in the bitter winter cold were shared widely on social media. Umer Hussain, a business owner, first saw the family two weeks ago, sleeping on the streets.

He left after advising the father not to bring his children with him while he sold baskets on the road.

A week later, he found the family there once again. He ■ then took the family out for shopping for warm clothes, had dinner with them and offered the father a job, promising to take care of his children’s education.

He shared pictures on his social media accounts and asked people who wanted to help to drop off their donations at any one of his restaurants.

Speaking to Gulf News, Hussain said he had already contacted the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau and searched for schools nearby, where the children could study.

“We are doing our homework because it is not about a publicity stunt, it is about changing the life of these children,” he told Gulf News.
