Clerk cleared of groping woman in mall

58-year-old Egyptian clerk was cleared by a court on Thursday of groping a woman shopper in August while she was pushing a trolley at a shopping mall in Dubai.

“I did not grope her. It happened by mistake as the mall was too crowded,” argued the Egyptian in court.

The woman claimed that as she was pushing the shopping trolley along with her son beside a circus, she felt a hand groping her posterior.

Citing lack of corroborated evidence, the court acquitted the clerk of groping the woman. (Staff Report)
