AIM 2019 to address global challenge in FDI flow
Focus on nations with investment outlooks based on disruptive tech growth
AIM 2019 — a platform aimed at boosting foreign direct investment (FDI) — will be held next April 8-10 in Dubai.
AIM 2019 will address the global challenge in the flow of FDI, which has slowed 15 per cent following the increase in protectionist policies being adopted by several countries.
This has in turn greatly impacted the economic outlook of developing countries. However, many are optimistic with new investment interest in disruptive technologies.
AIM 2019 will identify strategies to direct the flow of FDIs to nation-states whose investment outlooks are aligned with disruptive technological advances or smart city solutions such as AI, robotics, big data and blockchain.
