Singers Shaan and KK put on ace performances in Dubai
Shaan and KK’s concert at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium on Friday was a celebration of friendship all through the night.
The bond between the two Bollywood musicians has only grown stronger in the last 25 years since they stepped into playback singing.
“Let’s celebrate friendship,” Shaan declared on stage. KK added: “If you have friends you have a good life.”
That they admire each other as singers was evident when Shaan said KK sings with heart and KK stated the former had a golden heart.
The duo’s Salaam Dubai 2018 show was captivating right from the beginning. KK first charged up the audience with his hit songs before giving the podium to Shaan.
Shaan entered with a bang with Arre Diwanon Mujhe Pehchano from the original Amitabh Bachchan-led Don, which was followed by Mujhko Pehchan Lo from the Shah Rukh Khan remake of Don. The singer followed this up with the melodious Char Kadam from PK.
Shaan, who claimed he admires Salman Khan, next sang I Love You from his film Bodyguard, followed by Tere Naina (Jai Ho).
Both Shaan and KK took turns to perform solo, but they stole the hearts of their fans when they joined hands for a medley in celebration of a night of friendship. A mix of old melodies and new songs made up their repertoire.
Shaan got to step up the tempo with tracks such as Sade Naal Karle Party, Let’s Rock Soniye, Nikamma Kiya Is Dil Ne and Mere Sapno Ki Rani in quick succession.
KK returned with renewed energy regaling the audience with Tadap Tadap, Khuda Jaane, Tune Maari Entryaan, Desi Boys and more.
Shaan and KK are not just singers; they are also accomplished performers and know how to entertain the audience.
A highlight of the event was the punctuality of the stars. Salaam Dubai 2018, brought by OME and Gulf News, started at 9pm sharp and ended at around 2am.
