Twin cities see surge in asthma and allergies

the advent of the winter season, hospitals in the twins cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are witnessing a rush of patients complainin­g of asthma, seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctiv­itis, skin rashes, urticaria, angioedema and other dermatolog­ical problems.

Talking to a private news channel, senior pulmonolog­ist of Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS), Dr Rehana Kousar, said the change of weather was the main cause of ailments and people should take preventive measures. (APP)
