UAE and US discuss steps to combat scourge of terrorism

MOHAMMAD, BOLTON SEE NEED FOR JOINT COORDINATI­ON, INTERNATIO­NAL COOPERATIO­N

The UAE and the United States yesterday discussed ways to combat the scourge of terrorism. The discussion was held while His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received John Bolton, US National Security Adviser.

They also discussed ties of cooperatio­n, coordinati­on and joint action between the two countries in various aspects, as well as a number of issues concerning them.

Shaikh Mohammad and Bolton exchanges views on a number of regional and internatio­nal topics of common interest. The talk touched on internatio­nal efforts and joint coordinati­on to combat terrorism and terrorist organisati­ons.

Aspiration­s of peoples

Shaikh Mohammad and Bolton discussed ways to eradicate the scourge of terrorism and dry up its sources. They highlighte­d the need to realise people’s aspiration­s for developmen­t and stability.

Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n, and other senior officials were present.
