Imran vows action against land grabbers

Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday said that land grabbers and those involved with the illegal occupation of poor people’s lands in Islamabad and its suburbs would be dealt with sternly.

“I will not tolerate land mafia in the federal capital at all,” Khan said during a high level meeting.

He said the operation against land grabbers and illegal occupants should be carried out by taking people and media along.

The prime minister regretted the fact that influential people escaping the law while the poor are punished due to class distinctions in the country.
