Take a break from tech

Ithink the whole concept of influencers needs to stop (“Meet the UAE’s first virtual influencer”, Gulf News, November 11). Everyone has access to social media and different platforms to create content, but this has become a bad thing. Everyone online is a food blogger or a fashion blogger.

I think the scope of originality has changed. Now we have virtual influencers? I don’t know how I feel about this honestly. I think the world needs to stop relying so much on technology.

We anyway use some aspect of technology daily, so creating more options and more inventions only makes us more dependent on it. Maybe it is time for a digital detox?
