Children suffer in silence

Ihope that the bullies and their parents are brought before police and justice is served (“Dubai Police prevent bullied girl from committing suicide”, Gulf News, November 12).

I am guessing at least one of these bullies is speaking the language of a parent. Sometimes it’s just poor parenting and supervision, but often you’ll find that kids that are abused, verbally or otherwise, take it out on others. Punishment is needed but an assessment needs to be done to see if there’s trauma in the lives of the bullies. This needs to be addressed.
