WHAT IS ‘HAJWALA’?

-

Hajwala, also known as Tafheet, is an illegal and dangerous Middle Eastern pseudo street racing technique, which involves drifting cars at speeds of 160-260km/h while throwing them from left to right. It’s often done on wide, empty roads, though it can also involve driving close to other cars and spectators. It’s believed to have developed in the late 1970s. Drifting is a motorsport that involves oversteering a vehicle and the loss of traction in the back or all wheels.
