Saudi crown prince set to attend G20 summit

-

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman will attend the Group of 20 summit in Buenos Aires later this month, Saudi media reported Monday.

Saudi media outlets, including Al Arabiya, quoted Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al Falih as saying that the crown prince will stop in Argentina, but no further information was released.

The two-day summit begins on November 30.

The Saudi Arabian economy is projected to expand again in 2018 with a 1.8 per cent increase in GDP mainly due to a moderate recovery in oil production levels and marginally higher public spending.

The G20 is a leading forum of the world’s major economies that seeks to develop global policies to address today’s most pressing challenges. The G20 is made up of 19 countries and the European Union.

Saudi Arabia is the only Arab country in the group.
