Celebrity ‘dermatologist’ loses appeal

A woman who posed as a dermatologist will spend six months in prison, for forging her medical degree.

The Canadian, whose cosmetic procedures were popular with Bollywood celebrities, will be deported upon completion of her sentence. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) found that she had been delisted by the American Board of Medical Specialities (ABMS), and her permit was revoked later after her medical degree and ABMS certification were found to be forgeries.
