1 killed in fiery Brooklyn Bridge car crash
The
Fire Department of New York says three vehicles caught fire and one person died following a crash on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City.
Five other people suffered minor injuries. Police said all lanes had been closed in both directions.
The FDNY said the crash occurred on the Brooklynbound side of the bridge shortly after 7am yesterday.
The bridge connects Manhattan and Brooklyn and spans the East River.
Bright orange-red flames engulfed the vehicles and black smoke billowed high into the air. (AP)
