Sir Syed Day celebrations in Dubai today

Aligarh Muslim University Alumni in UAE is holding a ‘Sir Syed Day’ event today to pay tribute to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of one of the finest and renowned educational institutions in India, at the Le Meridien hotel, Dubai.

Yashwant Sinha, former finance minister of India, will be the chief guest at the event. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was a government servant, aristocrat, Islamic scholar, journalist and educationalist. He was also known for his rationalist approach and secular credentials. (Staff Report)
