LeT commander among 6 killed in encounter

Six

militants, including a top commander of Lashkare-Taiba (LeT), were killed yesterday in a predawn fierce gunfight in Setkipora village of Bijbehara, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.

“Azad Malik, a top commander of LeT and his associate Basit Mir were among the six militants killed in today’s encounter,” a police official said.

Malik was among those involved in the assassination of editor of Rising Kashmir, Syed Shujaat Bukhari in Srinagar. (IANS)
