Cheika picks Pocock for England clash

Australia’s

David Pocock is regarded as one of the best poachers of the ball in world rugby, so coach Michael Cheika’s decision to give the loose forward every chance to face England at Twickenham today is hardly a surprise.

When Cheika included Pocock in squad for Australia’s final match of a dismal year, the coach conceded that player who aggravated a neck injury against Italy was not 100 per cent fit. “Well I wouldn’t say fully, no, I’d rather be fair and square about that, otherwise he would’ve been training today, wouldn’t he?” Cheika said.
