Khawaneej to get new road network

A new network of roads stretching for 77 kilometres will be built at Al Khawaneej 2, as part a five-year plan to upgrade internal infrastructure of residential areas across Dubai, said the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said that the contract for the construction of internal roads at Al Khawaneej 2 has already been awarded. He added that the project comprises 68km of single roads and 9km of collector dual carriageways.
