‘Safe and secure’

-

Arman, a Filipino baker working for 10 years in the UAE, said: “I’m very happy and feel safe living here. I trust the justice system and feel safe to walk around and visit all places without any fear. I prefer the life here compared to that in my country ... there’s a high sense of security and I don’t worry about my children’s safety whenever they go out to play in the parks.”

Nepalese barista Sarina S., who has been living in Dubai since 2014, said: “I feel it’s a safe place, especially for women. Aside from justice and fairness, what makes it even more special to reside here is that women are always given more priority

... wherever a girl goes, she’s provided with a feeling of safety and comfort. Obviously, the legal system has been set to serve justice in this generous land. My cousins and friends always go out at night to the beach, restaurant or to buy groceries.”
