Girl, 4, returned from Syria to Belgian mum

rebel administration in Syria’s Idlib province handed over a four-year-old girl to her Belgian mother on Monday after a custody dispute following her father’s death. Yasmine was handed over after a dispute was solved between her guardians and her mother who had filed a petition for custody of her daughter after her father died.

The father’s “friends” had looked after Yasmine since his death and insisted she remain in their care but the rebel court sided with the mother. (AFP)
