Top guns campaign in Telangana
The election campaign has reached a frenzied pitch in assembly election-bound Telangana with all parties deploying their full firepower by fielding their top guns to campaign in different parts of the state.
While Rahul Gandhi of Congress and N Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam Party, the two top leaders of the opposition Maha Kutami or Grand Alliance, continued their campaign separately in Hyderabad on the second consecutive day yesterday, Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao was also busy in mobilising support for his party, even as he was pushed on the defensive by relentless attacks from all sides.
Polling has been scheduled in all 119 assembly constituencies on December 7.
On the other hand, the BJP is also throwing everything it has into the fight as party president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and party general secretaries Ram Madhav and P Murlidhar Rao were campaigning in different parts of the state. Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj was among the scores of Union Ministers and leaders who have already visited the state to seek support for the BJP.
