Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas jet off to Jodhpur

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and her American pop-singer beau Nick Jonas appeared ready for for their grand wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Rajasthan.

The pair left for Jodhpur early yesterday. Dressed in a striped, white shirt and palazzo pants, paired with a colourful stole, the soon-to-be bride was all smiles as she was spotted with Jonas, who sported a white shirt and faun pants paired with a tan jacket.

The former beauty queen’s mother Madhu Chopra and actress-cousin Parineeti Chopra were also seen at the airport along with Jonas’ brother Joe Jonas and his fiance and Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner. The couple hired a few helicopters to take them straight to the venue from the airport.

There will be two different weddings, one Hindu and the other Christian. The ceremony and festivities will be a private affair with only the family and some close friends attending. The henna and sangeet (music) ceremony was set to take place, where Jonas was to perform a medley of his songs and Chopra was performing a few of her hit dance numbers. A pre-wedding event, a haldi (turmeric) ceremony, is to be held today. A cocktail party has also been organised for the two families, relatives and friends before the big day on Sunday.

The Royal Palace — Umaid Bhawan — will be shut down for tourists until Monday for “security reasons”.
