Court spares minister after written apology

minister has narrowly escaped the Supreme Court’s wrath after assaulting an official at Islamabad International Airport.

Video footage showing Fida Hussain, Minister for Tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan, pushing and roughing up the official went viral.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar summoned the minister and airport official to appear before the court. However, Hussain was spared after submitting a written apology and surrendering to the court. (Staff Report)
