Living with HIV in the country

senior official yesterday said the number of people living with HIV and Aids has risen to 150,000 in Pakistan, but only 25,000 were registered so far with health authorities.
The provincial manager of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Provincial Aids Control Programme, Dr Salim, said Pakistan ranked second highest in Asia with respect to the prevalence of Aids cases, and the number of infections was increasing 45 per cent annually. (APP)
