National day activities at Louvre Abu Dhabi include traditiona­l Ayyala dance performanc­es, art of falconry, basket weaving, traditiona­l Bedouin embroider storytelli­ng by a Hakawati and poetry recitals, throughout the day. Three UAE-inspired tours will take place, where visitors can learn about the birth of the museum from the vision of the UAE founding father. A UAE motif workshop for children to create designs based on Emirati jewellery from 3-6 pm at the Children’s Museum, will be held. All activities are free with the museum admission ticket of Dh60 plus VAT. Free entry for children under the age of 13. Biggest Water Battle

Yas Waterworld is hosting the capital’s biggest water battle. Beginning at 11.47am, the Amwaj Wave Pool will transform into a playground for participan­ts to battle it out with colorful water pistols. Aerobatic Show

A showcase of aerial manoeuvres by the Al Fursan Aerobatic team with an appearance by the UAE Air Force jets at Corniche Road Abu Dhabi, 4pm.

Fireworks Display

The spirit of the Union will come alive with displays in Abu Dhabi: Zayed Heritage Festival at 8pm; Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium at 8pm; Madinat Zayed, Al Dahfra at 8pm and Abu Dhabi Corniche at 9pm.
