Quetta Safe City project in limbo amid cash woes

The Quetta Safe City Project is in limbo despite the allocation of Rs300 million (Dh7.85 million) to install security cameras in the city.

The project includes the installation of about 1,400 security cameras, the laying down of 300km of fibre optic cable, 260 poles, and integrated security control rooms with hardware and screens.

A senior official from the Home Department on Friday said the project had not started yet due to financial and administrative issues.
