UAE achieves 2021 target in 2018

-

In 2017, the UAE announced an ambitious goal of becoming one of the five most powerful passports in the world by 2021.

Back then, the UAE passport provided Emiratis visa-free or visa-onarrival benefits in 132 countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation launched the UAE Passport Force initiative to place the Emirati passport on the list of the five most powerful passports in the world by 2021.

However, the UAE has achieved this goal three years before the target, thanks to its progressive policies and diplomatic efforts.

The positive impacts include ease of travelling for tourism, as well as boosting the UAE’s economic development by facilitating trade and investment for individuals and institutions.

The strength of the UAE passport not only represents the proud identity of Emiratis, but is also a key factor in enhancing their access to global opportunities, ease of movement and quality of life.

The freedom of movement to many countries around the world is added to the list of priorities that the UAE offers to its citizens.

The UAE’s agenda for the future that embraces innovation, empowering the community and encouraging international cooperation, has also played a key role in making its passport the most powerful in the world.
