Mladenovic for Al Habtoor Tennis

Multiple Grand Slam champion Kristina Mladenovic of France will spearhead one of the strongest fields at the 21st Al Habtoor Tennis Challenge scheduled to take place at the Al Habtoor Grand Resort from December 10-15. Former top 10 player Mladenovic — reportedly dating Austrian top 10 men’s player Dominic Thiem — is among the early players confirmed for the annual tournament being held under the patronage of Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Habtoor Group.

The event is a $100,000 (Dh367,000) tournament on the ITF Women’s Circuit, and has traditionally attracted some of the top players in the past including the likes of Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic, Sania Mirza and Maria Kirilenko.

This year’s field is strong as well with 10 of the top-100 women confirming their attendance alongside Mladenovic.
