Redskins QB McCoy out for season
Redskins
quarterback Colt McCoy fractured his right fibula during Washington’s 28-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, coach Jay Gruden confirmed postgame.
The injury thrust 32-year-old journeyman Mark Sanchez, who was signed November 19 and last played at the end of 2016, into the line-up. Washington lost starter Alex Smith to a compound fracture in his right leg on November 18 against the Houston Texans.
“This is a tough blow,” Gruden said of McCoy’s injury. (Reuters)
