5 mug salesman, steal Dh1.6m in broad daylight

Five men have been accused of assaulting a sales executive with pepper spray, beating him up and stealing Dh1.6 million from him.

In September, the Chinese man concluded a deal, put Dh1.7 million cash in his backpack and was headed out when a group of men stopped him and made away with the money. Five men were arrested: three Pakistanis and two Afghans, who pleaded not guilty before the Dubai Court of First Instance yesterday.
