44,000 motorists fined by ‘sniper’ radars
Mobile and fixed ‘sniper’ radars fined 44,000 motorists for speeding in Abu Dhabi in October. The radars equipped with high-resolution digital cameras are usually used on highways to control speeding. Brig Gen Salem Bin Barak Al Daheri, director of external traffic department in Abu Dhabi Police, said dangerous traffic violations and bad driving are publicised on social media by police.
